But overall, the favorite gimmick was being able to turn for RI 49 at the "T" intersection indication sign. And the least favorite gimmick was the Grinch not being able to turn a "STOP" sign into a "P" sign for RI 44, because the GIs had higher precedence and had already removed the word "STOP" from the sign. * We actually had to break a tie based on the first gimmick missed by each team, because the teams were still tied after both TB 1 and TB 2. * A big THANK YOU to everyone who made this rallye possible: - Eric Anderson, Jon Beauchamp, Larry Friedrich, Abby Grossman, Dean Stanton, who prechecked; - Grif Albert, Mel Boss, Tom Carney, Jackie Feakins, Rita Guerero-Satulovsky, Kiyoshi Hamai, and Joel Lipkin, the Golden Gate Lotus Club (GGLC) members who worked the checkpoints; - Glen Dayton and Abby Grossman, who worked registration; - Joey Warnstedt, who celebrated his birthday by running this rallye and navigating his car to a second place finish in the Novice class; and - All of you! We collected 22 toys (or groups of smaller toys) for HomeFirst. Combined with the cash donations, our donation to HomeFirst was worth more than $600. We hope to see you soon at another TRC rallye!
