Your humble heralds wish to impart a few additional words unto your patient ears: We had a great time writing and putting on the “Knights of the Route Table” rallye. We hope that all of you had an equally fun time participating in it. This was our first attempt at authoring an A-B rallye and only our third rallye overall. There was some reticence at deviating from the CM-centric tradition of TRC events but, hopefully, we showed that a bit of variety is also good. (Plus, we didn’t have to spend all morning explaining to suspicious homeowners why we were stapling things to telephone poles all around their neighborhood.) For those who didn't hear the protest results, we did grant a few that affected all cars. Credit was granted for RI 4-C as well as the original answer A, due to the GI's missing "Drive" in the list of words appearing in signs. Credit was granted for RI 22-B since a street sign was missing at the intersection. Question 4 was granted to any who got 4, 5, or 6, since we missed two “bus stop” signs. No matter how many prechecks you run, it’s hard to spot everything. A special congratulations for our first place winners in the Beginner and Novice category, both of whom got outstanding scores! Enjoy both your bottle of mead and moving up a rank. Finally, a round of hearty thanks from us to our precheckers, village assistants, and general administrators: Steve Watt, Nancy Hanna, Abby Grossman, Glen Dayton, and Jimmy Lin. Running a rallye is a big task and we couldn’t have undertaken it without your help. - Duke and Duchess Riggs, Baron Von Underwood
