2016-10-18 TRC Business Meeting Minutes Called to order at: 8 pm. Members present: Darin McGrew, Michelle McGrew, Dean Stanton, Ed Slintak, Heather Mellows. Agenda for current meeting: Approved as amended. Minutes from previous meeting: Approved OFFICERS' REPORTS * President: - No report. * Vice President: - No report available. * Secretary: - Sent email to Cris and Nick to remind them that there is no November rallye and that our next rallye is in December. * Treasurer: - 23 cars and 47 waiver signatures for October's Monster University rallye. If the average car had two people in it, there would have been exactly 46 signatures. I suspect that 47 is fewer signatures than a full set. - Three of the 23 cars didn't really finish the rallye. One car told me they weren't interested in our free rallye coupon, because our gimmick rallyes weren't for them. One Corvette car lost their reading glasses at the start, so they were unable to complete the rallye and left. Then the glasses were found. I made an announcement at the chalk talk, but apparently this car was already gone. We sent the glasses with Steve Bolaris of the Santa Clara Corvettes and asked him to also pass on that this car could have a refund for the uncompleted rallye. - Interestingly, fewer member entries than usual, maybe because of the school format. - The budget included hope for an August rallye with $230 more income than outgo. But losing that income was offset by the large number of nonmember entries from the Corvettes. Year to date, we're $140 ahead of budget overall! But 3 FT cars decided not to finish. - Not only did we get 5 first timer cars from the Santa Clara Corvettes, but we had 6 Beginner cars.
