OFFICERS' REPORTS

- absent, recovering from surgery

- AI: Darin to document the need to fill state/federal forms on the wiki

* Treasurer
- Moderate turnout for March rallye
  - no reimbursement requests yet; expect $40 giveaways, $40 printing
  - after expected reimbursements, rallye netted a small profit
  - $5/member allocated to annual insurance from membership fees collected
- reimbursed $75 for promotional expenses for printing bags
  - that is less than the $100 approved, and less than the actual expenses
  - no receipts provided
- no April rallye
  - no expenses/receipts, including insurance and awards budgeted for March
  - March mailing deferred to April
  - YTD we are about $100 behind the budget
  - YTD we are about $343 behind the budget, so We need to control expenses
    until rallye attendance improves

- Results: should be going out this week
- CMs are down
- Scoresheets will got to Dean next month
- 20 cars; pretty high scores.
- Most everyone enjoyed rallye but aren't wanting to do another one with this
  many hidden notes anytime soon.
- Had 1 DNF because they weren't sure how to deal with the notes even after
  multiple explanations. They thought the Notes needed to be done in some kind
  of order either in order found or alphabetical.

* Awards
- AI: Nick will investigate a 1st Place First Timer plaque that can accept par
  plaque artwork, so we don't have to discard unawarded pins

* "Boosting"
- Concept: when a class is large, and the class above is very small, then the
  top cars in the larger lower class receive awards in the smaller higher class
- discussed; agreed not to use boosting
- AI: Dean to draft proposal for allowing more flexibility (promotion &
  demotion) for class assignment

* "Rallye Buddy" Ride Along
- Concept: match up an experienced rallyist to ride along with and coach a car
  of less experienced rallyists
- What class would they compete as? Perhaps one class below the more
  experienced "buddy"?
- How would it be implemented/formalized?
- Intended as a short-term teaching experience.
- Prechecking with a master expert is another educational opportunity.
- Possibly remind rallyists about CM Gimmick Rallye Guide (free online, or $2
  at start); perhaps suggest A-B guide on wiki, and/or sample rallyes
- RMs can also include a link to one of Bob Schott's 1-page guides in the
  rallye's announcements
- AI: Dean to draft proposal for review by board, perhaps to be posted to
  Facebook before the May rallye
