Oct 16, 2002 TRC General Meeting minutes - Called to order at 1940. Members present: Steve Watt, Nancy Hanna, Teresa Stefanisko, Nick Stefanisko, Pete Soper, Bill Jonesi, Cris Wendt, Darin McGrew, Michelle McGrew. Minutes from last meeting: - Approved with amendment: Fix spelling (again) of Bob Jenkins' name, this time in the amendments from last time. Possibly the first time for TRC that the minutes amendment has needed amending. General consensus that HTML is wrong format. Officer's reports: President: Bill's father passed away on Oct 5. Bill will be able to serve out his present term as president, but will be unable to serve next year. Willie will be taking on the Toy Rallye chair. Vice President: Will possibly be moving away from SF Bay area in June, can't serve next year. Secretary: No Report. Treasurer: Not present. Insurance Chair: Abby and Darin events are insured. Called Claudia again to talk about cheaper insurance. Willie also called and had no luck. Bill suggested Dennis Hale at NASA Racing. Bill will make the first call to Dennis. Cris needs reimbursement for insurance. Jeff has suggested J. C. Taylor insurance and/or www.hemmings.com. NCSCC Representative: NCSCC meeting will be at end of Toy Rallye on 12/1, agenda coming soon. Last Event(s) Report: Car Wars II finances still open, waiting for trophies to be paid for. Monster Mash 2002 trophies and insurance are unpaid. Had 32 cars, lighting at start was OK, there were some small CM sticking problems, but nothing major. Next Event(s) Report: November 2 is (new!) One Ringy-Dingy by Darin McGrew. Has been prechecked, Abby and Glen will be working one on-course CP, Cris will either staff or find a volunteer for the other. December 1 is Toy Rallye, TRC chairing, now Willie. Golden Gate Lotus will provide staffing. Do we want to do some sort of awards? No rallye in January. The question arose whether we had put Jan on the calendar in the last mailing, and we did not. (I'm updating the calendar to the current schedule, bj) February = Cris Wendt - Super Bowl 37: the Rallye March = Steve Watt's School Rallye April = Stefanisko's - Patriot Games May = Darin Open Dates: June 7 2003, last half of 2003. We might run May Flowers on May 3 as a day rallye. Should we do a "rallye day" and have a night one as well? Need to find a RM. Old Business: The membership list still needs to be synchronized between the secretary and the treasurer. Still waiting on Willie to get to this. Incorporation question still pending, Treasurer not present. Backup gimmick (A/B) rallye still being worked on, should be done Real Soon Now. Cris will precheck. There was a suggestion that it should be in the Fremont area. Bill has some other ideas in this area. Possible dirt TSD in late Spring / early Summer '03, planning proceeding. Suggestion to pursue sponsorship from an online mapping company. Melody to pursue, not present at meeting. Software Upgrades: PDF995 doesn't work with older version of Windows. Nominations: President - Pete Soper Vice President - Darin McGrew Secretary - Steve Watt Treasurer - Cris Wendt Board Members - Jeff Trimble, Nancy Hanna, Abby Grossman, Bill Jonesi If we don't hear from Willie in time for the ballot mailing, will use the Secretary's membership list as authoritative. Ballots will go out with Secretary's home address as the return address. Discussed logistics of turning off REWIND-5, make sure it's removed from all Flyers, press announcements, etc. New Business: Request added for a back link on the minutes posted to the web site, suggested contacting the webmaster (webmaster@therallyeclub.org). SCCA will be doing a Pro/National Weekend down here, 2 or 3 rallyes. Pete will help Jessica put together events. Upcoming Events: 11/2 One Ringy Dingy... 11/23-12/1 Car Show in SF 12/1 Toy Rallye (three days after Thanksgiving) Announcements: The SCCA National Pro Rallye office is moving, has new office manager in Kansas City.
